April 28 - United States: Olympia, WA

Jon went for a run in downtown Portland this morning.  He woke up early and took the car and ran his required eight miles through the waterfront and across a bunch of bridges.  I slept in because I have a sinus infection.  It was so weird last night.  One hour I was fine, and the next hour I felt like I'd been hit by a truck.  I'd hoped I would feel better after a good night's sleep, but my body has decided otherwise.  So I've broken out the antibiotics we've carted all over the world and have actually put them to use.

Jon finished up another load of laundry and we had lunch at a place across the street called "Baha Fresh".  The food was good and inexpensive - better than Taco Bell.  Then we headed north to Washington State.  We were going to camp in the Olympic National Park tonight, but the though of freezing my way through this sinus infection doesn't strike me as a lot of fun.  So we headed to a Motel 6 instead.

Not a very exciting day, but I'm not 100%.  Tomorrow will be better, since we'll hit the National park.

Oh.  Here's a funny thing: a local radio station in Washington is holding a contest called "Boobies Like Brittany".  Basically, if you're over 18 and unhappy with your breast size, you can enter their essay contest and send in a "tasteful" picture.  The winner will get "Boobies Like Brittany".  How pathetic is that?!?!  As if we girls weren't bombarded enough with the impossibility of the "ideal body" of 5'9" and 110 lbs.  Now a radio station thinks a breast augmentation should be considered a prize.  The sad thing is that they'll have plenty of entries.
